The second Noufuku JAS post introduces “Sun Sun Yamashiro”, a Noufuku JAS-certified business operator.

Located in Kyoto, Sun Sun Yamashiro strives to create an enabling environment for persons with hearing and/or speech disabilities to work in a responsible manner. It also promotes the creation of places in the area where these persons can play active roles.

Sun Sun Yamashiro produces about 30 kinds of vegetables, including ones traditionally grown in Kyoto, and many Noufuku JAS-certified foods, such as ‘Koicha #Daifuku (Japanese #matcha sweets)’, ‘Matcha Cookies’, and ‘Uji Matcha tea’.

You can enjoy these at lunch time in the Sun Sun Yamashiro Community Cafe, where many local customers visit too. If you come to Japan, make sure to stop by the Community Cafe.
